Rothbury Fest unveils headliners

Rothbury Festival will be held July 2-5 at Double JJ Ranch in Michigan. The String Cheese Incident will headline on July 3rd and will play on July 4th. Bob Dylan and His Band Willie Nelson and family will play July 5th.

"Put Your Lips on My Mouth"

New artist Jessie James sounds like Christina Aguilera and her song "Wanted" was clearly written by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi, so its not really breaking any new musical ground. But one bright shining phrase lifts the song up past average pop - "put your lips on my mouth." The way James delivers it, with breathy attitude to spare, makes it my new phrase for those of you out there that enjoy a good cbshawty phrase.

This year's Lollapalooza lineup looks pretty solid. Depeche Mode, Tool, and the Killers will headline the event, joined by Beastie Boys, Kings of Leon, and Jane's Addiction. I'm personally psyched for TV on the Radio, of Montreal, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Peter Bjorn and John, Passion Pit, and Chairlift among others. Check out the entire lineup HERE.

EPIC. Daniel Merriweather & Adele

This song, "Water and a Flame," has been on constant rotation on my iPod since early March and I keep forgetting to post it. But here it finally is. Such a great song with two great vocalists, Adele and Daniel Merriweather (who was notably featured on Mark Ronson's hit "Stop Me"). The song just builds until its an explosion in my ears. This Time Last Year

This time last year SCOPE brought Bon Iver to Mission Creek. Haven't had an excuse to bring him up in a while but here is a kewt video of a politician who likes Bon Iver as much as we do.
