So here is a quick over-view of some of the bands I've been crushing over lately:
Lucky Soul
These British crooners are cranking out beats that are suitable for the 50's. They make me want to put on a poodle skirt, find a greaser and take him to make out point. It's fantastic. Seriously, take a listen at their myspace at www.myspace.com/luckysoulluckysoul and you won't be able to stop. \.
Frightened Rabbit
I don't even know what to say about these guys. This Scottish four piece is making some seriously great music. Listen to the song "The Modern Leper" and just listen to the lyrics. It's kind of funny how down the singer, Scott Hutchison, is on himself. You will not be disappointed by this band. I promise.

Gogol Bordello
Last but not least we have Gogol Bordello. I saw/heard of these guys for the first time at Lollapalooza this year and they put on such an energetic, eccentric performance that I could not help but fall in love with this band. It is comprised fully of Eastern European immigrants and the accents come through really thick in the music which I think is great. This band is definitely an acquired taste. I personally think to get the full effect of the music you need to see a video along with it. So here is the video for the song "Start Wearing Purple".
