Those of you who have read my posts in the past know that I am a lover of the ska. One of my favorite punk/ska bands of all time is the Dance Hall Crashers--a twin female-fronted tour de force from the '90s.
Alas...they haven't played together since 2005-ish. But there's hope--one half of the vocal team, Karina Denike still has the performing bug and she's got a couple of great songs on MySpace.
The songs have a little Cat Power-esque quality to them, along with some old school soul/pop. If you want to see what ever happened to those crazy ska kids, here's one that didn't go banana-shit on us.
