Bands On The Road: Fleet Foxes

There's about four SCOPErs that are nuts over butts in love with new band Fleet Foxes. I count myself as one of them. And, amazingly enough, I was turned onto them by Allison before she even heard a single note come from their sweet harmonizing lips (she saw them in a magazine at my apartment and said they looked like they would sound sweet...I put my faith in her gut reaction, found their tunes, and and we haven't looked back since). We posted lead track from their forthcoming self-titled debut, "White Winter Hymnal" a while back and likened it to some creepy and ethereal elfen song that would have fit well somewhere in Tolkein lore. This time, pitchfork.tv's got a little and insightful short about the band and their touring habits, as well as some live clips mixed in for good measure. Kind of makes you forget what a shit life it is for young bands trying to make a life doing what they love. Makes it a little more disheartening when you hear how much talent these guys have. Go support live music.
