So Kapolas has Feist, Bobby has Taylor Swift...

It's about time I admit my insanely over-the-top quirky rock-n-roller crush:

KATE NASH

In my eyes, the girl can do no wrong. She's cute, funny, swears like a sailor, and is just "indie-hipster" enough for me not to lose any street cred. PLUS, she's a cheeky Brit, and I love the fact that she has a voice that allows her accent to shine through completely. Most Brit-pop stars seem to lose some of their ultra-sexy alternate intonations and pronunciations, but not Kate. Her playful style allows her to sing as all Brits should. And it melts my heart every time I hear it.

So, this song is a touch old by now, and I'm sure a few people are sick of it, but just to give everyone a little refresher on "cute-as-a-button" (if a button dropped several f-bombs over the course of an LP) Kate Nash:

OH! And one more thing: For those of you who are fans of Brit Rockers the Arctic Monkeys, here's Kate covering their song Fluorescent Adolescent:

I love Kate Nash and her CD, but her contemporary covers are always pretty brutal. This one, the White Stripes one, and the Cribs one are all pretty lackluster.
