Beach GIRLS from Brooklyn?

As an all-girls trio of pop punk in Brooklyn, the Vivian Girls are selling out, and on the road again. After a successful three-day showing at South by Southwest in Texas, the trio came out with a limited edition vinyl which almost immediately sold out thereafter. Their most recent self-titled album is on Mauled by Tigers, and will be available to purchase while they are on tour.

With two of the three just finishing college, they have been busy with finals, touring, and recording themselves on their iBook. With this form self-recording, they are able to control everything that happens to their music and do it on their own time, which is almost necessary with their hectic schedules. These self-recorded songs will be on a three song 7" produced by Woodsist. This will also be available on tour.

After listening to their latest album, I was really impressed with their surfer-rock-chick persuasion. They reminded me of a modern all girls Beach Boys with a little more beat and more danceable melodies. They will be on tour this summer. Check out their myspace for their dates. Go to their show, be entranced, and dance the night away!!
