numb is the new deep

Obviously we here at the SCOPE blog love John Mayer, body and music. So you can imagine that we're totally over the moon for the additional dates he just added to his summer tour. Need an even bigger squeal factor? He's hitting the road with opener Paramore for the first two dates listed below. John and Hayley sharing a stage? Mega swoon. OneRepublic will pick up support for the remainder of the tour after that.

8/19 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre - Charlotte, NC
8/20 Post Gazette Pavilion - Pittsburgh, PA
8/22 Darien Lake Performing Arts Center - Darien Center, NY
8/23 New England Dodge Music Center - Hartford, CT
8/25 Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga Springs, NY
8/27 Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion - Raleigh, NC
8/29 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre - Atlanta, GA
8/30 Ford Amphitheatre - Tampa, FL

Tickets for these concerts go on sale June 7th and are available through Mayer's website.

I don't know how I feel about John Mayer and Paramore playing together.

Their music... just doesn't seem to go together very well.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both Paramore and Mayer, but they just don't sound like two acts that would mesh well together (as a show).

this would be better news if i was living in new york...

side note: doesn't john mayer dig paramore. i think if they worked connecting the two acts with a duet into the show it would be gold at least to me.
