Now that we have all had a few weeks to settle down from finals and settle into summer I thought I'd make a short list of the music I've been listening to so far.
1 Coldplay - Viva La Vida
As good as their ipod commercial makes them out to be. I've only had a few days with it but it has definitely done their previous work justice.
Song to listen to first: Violet Hill
2 The Hold Steady - Stay Positive
Same bar-chant-rock and just in time for summer (technically you'll have to wait a month but it should be just in time for mid-summer). Kappy beat me to it weeks ago. still good.
Song to listen to first: Sequestered in Memphis
3. Spoon - Gimme Fiction (2005), Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (2007)
So I'm definitely not the first to the punch on Spoon but I literally cannot stop listening to them.
Song to listen to first: The Underdog
4. Justice - Cross
If you're going to party, get ready by listening to Justice.
Song to listen to first: DVNO
5. Fleet Foxes - Ragged Wood
Beautiful harmonies. weird lyrics. calming melodies. Basically they're my go to band when I want to slow down (Though the aforementioned Coldplay could give them some competition).
Song to listen to first: White Winter Hymnal
What have the rest of you been listening to?

What a lovely post! My current albums/tracks include..
Santogold - Santogold
I'm A Lady
I've really been into hip hop, and I love mixing it up with a girl ! She's similar to M.I.A., I prefer her beats though.
The Roots - Rising Down
Birthday Girl (even though it's a little creepy)
Gearing up for 80/35! I just bought this album but it's a good summer album, with a lot of other artists that I love on it!
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights
100 Days, 100 Nights
Can't get them out of my head. This album takes me back to the 70's!
Coldplay - Viva La Vida
Strawberry Swing
I'm really excited that this album is as good as X&Y, I love it!
Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's The Cool
Go Go Gadget Flow
More hip hop, Lupe is just so smooth. I love this album for the solid rap songs like this, and for the slower songs like Paris, Tokyo.

I've been huge into:
Atmosphere (SCOPE alum): When Life Gives You Lemons...
"You"
It's an LA radio staple right now.
Katy Perry: One of the Boys
"I Kissed A Girl"
You can't find a catchier song right now.
Junior Senior: Hey Hey My My Yo Yo
"Can I Get Get Get"
Junior Senior delivers again with this AMAZINGLY catchy beat..
