Stereogum recently polled readers and has now released some BEST OF 2008 results. Some of the results surprised me.
BEST ALBUM OF 2008

3) Bon Iver For Emma Forever Ago
Some disappointments for me were the ranking of Beck's Modern Guilt at a mediocre #18 and lower yet was My Morning Jacket's Evil Urges at #21. Even more depressing was the Raconteurs' Consolers of the Lonely at #33 with one of my new favorites, Blitzen Trapper's Furr, right behind. I was also surprised to see Death Cab's Narrow Stairs ranked relatively high at #14. BOO, Stereogum Readers.

I like fleet foxes but I don't think they should have won. I probably would have given the nod to Bon Iver but I guess I am biased.
I think Of Montreal should have won best live act. I've seen both bands play and all Radiohead had to offer was some fancy lights. Of Montreal was waaaaaaaaaay better
