2. In psychoanalysis, the process by which emotions and desires originally associated with one person, such as a parent or sibling, are unconsciously shifted to another person, especially to the analyst.
Spoon's new album, Transference is streaming on NPR and, upon first listen, I think it is quite good. If you like what you hear the album comes out January 19th (I would strongly recommend picking it up at Real music or the Record Collector in Iowa City).

I know its pretty weak to leave the first comment on your own post, but Real Records already has this album stocked as well as Vampire Weekend's latest, Contra. If you've never been to Real Records and like music, do yourself a favor and stop by the next time you are in Iowa City.
