That's right. Vampire Weekend will release Contra on January 12th. The pretty picture up above will be the album art. (P.S. way to advertise Polo on the front of an album, VW.)

Don't Hate Me But....

....another Vampire Weekend post. I know I know I know. Get with it, right? The blog backlash has started, so I should've jumped on board by now. Well, fooey to that. I still like these guys and am eagerly awaiting their set at Pitchfork this summer. This song right here is an early demo version of "Campus," consists entirely and solely of strings, and is gorgeous as all get out. The version was leaked by VW's keyboardist, and I'm not sure if the vocals are his or Ezra's. (right click/save as)
