Not too hot to take off your thermals just yet

Having been wandering around Iowa City late last March with nothing to do on a weekend night, I thought that it might be a nice night to get out of the baron snow-drifted streets of downtown, and head into the Picador with a friend of mine. We ended up stumbling upon The Thermals. I was immediately drawn into the middle of the crowd where I enjoyed dancing and hopping to one of the most enjoyable shows of my concert-going career---all by mistake (or should I say fortune?!) I bought their CD that night, and More Parts Per Million has been one of my favorites since.

Not only does their music force me to shake my body and jump around my room in my skivvies, their music video for Pillar of Salt is beginning to become of of my favorite of all-time, behind Californication by RHCP and 1234 by Feist. It has this simplistic quality to it, that allows for one to be entranced by the music and changes going on in the one-scene video. I think it's fun, and anything that has bright colors, good music, and an independent feel I'd probably fall for anyways. (Thanks to Shannon for showing it to me in the office last week!)

Anyone up for reenacting the paint scene!?!?
