May City, Iowa May Have What It Takes For Nashville

Shawn Mayer of May City, Iowa is one of four singer/songwriter finalists on the NBC reality tv hit Nashville Star. At only 21 years old, she is trying to make a name for herself in country music. Judge Jeffrey Steele stated, "Your original song "Im Not Looking Back" could easily be cut right now by a Faith Hill, Martina McBride, or Sara Evans." The song is about her struggles leaving her boyfriend behind in Iowa to persue her dream of becoming a Country Star. Tune in next Monday for the season finale to see who will be the next star of country music.
