While I could go on forever about what I think should have been on these lists or what should have been higher, here are the main things that stuck out to me.

Obviously I'm a bit partial to Uncut's (British music magazine) loving on Jack White. (They also named him "Man of the Decade." Yes, seriously.)

However, I thought it was nice to see Bright Eyes, Josh Ritter, The Avett Brothers, Death Cab, Bon Iver, and the National on Paste's list. I'm really surprised that Bon Iver's For Emma, Forever Ago only made it onto one out of these four lists.
